Information for Visa to ChinaBrunei ordinary passport holders are exempted from visa for tourism, visiting
relatives and business to China not exceeding 15days. Passengers shall enter
into, exit from or transit through the Chinese ports open to international
travelers.
I. Basic Requirements
Applicants should fill in one visa application form appropriately with one
recent passport size photograph. Applicant's passport valid for at least six
months with a blank visa page is required. The Chinese Embassy has the right
to decline those visa applications when applicants provide fake information
or their forms are found not duly filled out.
II. Type of Visas and Related Requirements
1.Diplomatic/Service Visa Brunei Diplomatic or Official Passport holders going
toChina on temporary visit within 14 days are exempted from visa requirements.
2. Tourist Visa ("L" Visa) (usually single entry 30-day only): Foreigners
other than Bruneian citizen should have validBrunei visa or valid Residential
Permit in Brunei.
3. Business Visa ("F" Visa) The following documents are required
A: Invitation fromChina
(i)Applicants holding invitation from company in China may apply for single
or double entry visa.
(ii) Applicants holdingoriginal visa notification letter from Provincial Authorities
in China, namely, Foreign Affairs Office or Foreign Economic Relations and
Trade Commission, with a multiple entry visa notification may apply for multiple
entry visas.
B: Covering letter from applicant's company or office addressed to the visa
office.
4. Visa for Conference, Art Performance & Sports Meeting ("F" Visa) The
following documents are required:
A: Visa notification letter either from relevant authority inChina or from
Provincial Authorities in China, namely, Foreign Affairs Office or Foreign
Economic Relations and Trade Commission.
B: Covering letter from applicant's company or office addressed to visa office.
5. Transit Visa ("G" Visa) The following documents are required:
A: Applicants should get visa of destination country first.
B: Covering letter from applicant's company or office addressed to visa office.
6. Employment Visa ("Z" Visa) The following documents are required:
A: Alien Employment License issued by the Ministry of Labor & Social Security
of China, or Foreign Specialist's License issued by Foreign Specialist Bureau
of China.
B: Visa notification letter issued by the local Foreign Affairs Office in
China.
C: Covering letter from applicant addressed to the visa office. D: Health
Certificate issued by doctors from a Bruneian public hospital.
7. Student Visa ("X" Visa) The following documents are required:
A: Admission Notice issued by the University in the P. R. ofChina.
B: Student visa application form (JW201/202) issued by the Ministry of Education
ofChina.
C: Covering letter from the applicant's recently graduated school, university
or applicant himself/herself.
D: Health Certificate issued by doctors from a Bruneian public hospital. Please
enquire the visa officer straightly about applications for any visas other
than the above mentioned categories.
