Hi,
I am a German citizen and will travel to Singapore next week. I will only stay for a couple of days but have to make sure that I get the visa within that time, since the embassy is much likely to be flooded here in Bangkok.

My friend, a Philippines citizen but Singapore PR, has been told that she must wait 3-6 months for a tourist visa. In the past she has received multiple enty visas (her visa expired this month) within a week. She has been visiting me in Shanghai (I am China resident) regularly over the past 3 years and this is the first time she has encountered a problem. Rather disturbing, as she has air tickets for Christmas. Why the change in policy??
