May a relative go to the Chinese Embassy for me if I send him a letter of authorization and a copy of my passport or do I have to travel to the Philippines?

My boss has an important meeting in China next week the problem is the red seal letter seems to be taking up alot of time and it will be realized by next week tuesday. Hi!

I would like to inquire with regards to your policy with Philippine passport if expiration date is less than 6 months. Actually it's 5 months and 8 days from departure to Macau. If we will just have 6days vacation in Macau-Hongkong. But the earliest appointment date for passport renewal in DFA will be on September 2010. Is it still valid for travel. What could be the possible ways other than our renewal appointment letter?
